Psychologist Nimrod Shanee joins host Alejandro Leguízamo to talk about what assessment and treatment is like in Israel.
Dr. Shanee is the founder and Clinical Manager of 'New Beginning' Treatment and diagnosis center for offenders (All types of offenses) in Tel-Aviv (from 2010). The center to date is also the biggest ambulatory treatment center for sexual offenders in Israel (from 2016). The center treats routinely around 100 sex offenders with group and individual therapies. He is also a major consultant on sexual risk assessments for the public defense (from 2008). He is a leader of innovations in treatment and risk assessments in Israel: introducing new risk assessments tools and new treatment techniques, such as treatment of people who are in categorical denial and using Good Lives based experiential training groups.
